1888 - Kid Moxie and the Fields of Blackberry

Fields of Blackberry was collected by Roger Mullins in the late 60's. The original version, sung by an unknown performer in 1967 in a pub in Hampshire, features on the original "Tales from the Black Meadow" album.
This is a fantastic album that also features collaborations with Angelo Badalamenti (Twin Peaks) and the Gaslamp Killer. It is available as a digital download on itunes and as a vinyl record from UNDO records.

Tales from the Black Meadow - Adventures on BBC6 Music - Freakzone
On Sunday 30th November The Yoked Man was played on BBC6 Music. This track, created by The Soulless Party, is one of over twenty pieces of music created for the Black Meadow project.
Stuart Maconie said: "The Yoked Man from Tales from the Black Meadow... It purports to be some discovered notebooks from a man called R. Mullins from the University of York who went missing in 1972 on the North Yorkshire Moors but I fancy that is a conceit to produce a bit of hauntology!"
We don't know what he means...
